Hamas opens for transition rule in Gaza

Hamas has approved the plans to have a committee control the Gaza Strip until new elections can be held, reports Israeli Haaretz.

On Monday, an Israeli delegation goes to Doha for further negotiations.

Hama’s message about a transitional government, which is in line with the Arab Association’s proposal for Gaza’s future, came after a meeting between the terrorist extremist group and Egyptian intelligence service in Cairo.

However, Hamas presents a number of conditions for the transitional board to be in place. Negotiations on the second phase of the ceasefire must be initiated, the border crossings for the Gaza Strip must be opened and emergency aid must be admitted without restrictions, they say in a statement.

According to Hamasken Hazem Qassem, the movement has “nothing against” meeting US representatives, as they understand that the United States “has the power to put pressure on Israel”. Talks about starting negotiations on the second phase of the ceasefire is ongoing, Qassem said according to Haaretz.

On Monday, Israel sends a delegation to Qatar to continue negotiations on the ceasefire, writes The Times of Israel. The first phase of the ceasefire ran on the paper a week ago and since then there is an uncertain deadlock.

According to Israeli media, Israel has consistently refused to participate in conversations about the second phase, as it will mean, under the original agreement, a total Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.

In addition, Israel must have been angry over this week’s message that the United States has held direct conversations with Hamas, reports The Times of Israel.
