The Israeli government announced that they have received the names of the third group of Israeli prisoners who are expected to be released from the blockaded Gaza Strip today.
According to the Israeli newspaper Yediot Ahronot, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Office received the list of Israeli prisoners who will be released today.
It was reported that the families of the names on the list were informed and the security forces examined the list.
150 PALESTINES IN EXCHANGE OF 50 ISRAELI POWERS
The agreement regarding a 4-day humanitarian pause in the clashes between Israel and Hamas came into effect at 07:00 (08:00 Turkish time) on Friday, November 24.
Within the scope of the agreement, 150 Palestinians in Israeli prisons will be released in exchange for 50 Israeli prisoners held by Hamas.
So far, 26 Israeli women and children from the blockaded Gaza Strip and 78 Palestinian women and children detained in Israeli prisons have been released.
13 ISRAELI POWERS WILL BE RELEASED TODAY
According to the news in Yediot Ahronot newspaper, unnamed Israeli officials noted that the list of captives to be released by Hamas today reached the Tel Aviv administration.
Israeli officials stated that Hamas will release 13 more Israeli prisoners today.
33 OF THE 39 PALESTINES RELEASED ARE CHILDREN AND 6 ARE WOMEN
The names of 39 Palestinian prisoners who were released from Israeli prisons in the second phase yesterday, within the scope of the “humanitarian pause in hostilities agreement” reached by Hamas and Israel, were published.
According to the statement made by the Palestinian Prisoners Association on the subject, those released were born between 2005 and 2007, 6 of whom were women and 33 of whom were children.
