Hezbollah responded to Israel’s attacks by firing over 300 drones.

Now Hamas congratulates Hezbollah.

“We praise and congratulate the qualitative and great response carried out by Hezbollah fighters this morning,” said jihadist leader Sayyed Fuad Shukr.

The conflict between Hezbollah and Israel escalated during the night.

Both sides launched attacks at each other. The Israeli military, the IDF, launched a major attack on what it described as Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.

320 drones

Hezbollah later stated that it had fired a total of 320 drones at eleven military bases.

Now Hamas congratulates Hezbollah after the attacks on Israel.

Hamas congratulates Hezbollah after the attacks on Israel on Sunday.

“We praise and congratulate the qualitative and great response carried out by Hezbollah fighters this morning against several vital and strategic targets deep within the Zionist entity, in response to the crime of assassinating the great jihadist leader Sayyed Fuad Shukr, and for its crime and ongoing aggression in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon,” read the statement according to Sky News.

“Will not pass unanswered”

Sayyed Fuad Shukr continued:

“This a slap in the face of the fascist occupation government and a message that its terrorism and crimes against the Palestinian and Lebanese people will not go unanswered.”

The Houthi movement in Yemen also praises Hezbollah’s attacks on Israel, the BBC reports. The movement controls large parts of Yemen, including the capital Sanaa, and is supported by Iran and Iran-allied militia groups.

They called Sunday’s action “courageous attack carried out by the resistance movement this morning against the Israeli enemy”.

Netanyahu: “Those who hurt us, we hurt”

The move came, according to the BBC, with new threats and to carry out retaliatory actions against Israel for the Israeli attacks on July 21. According to Israel, the attack was a response to a drone attack on Tel Aviv two days earlier.

A state of emergency has been declared in Israel and the country’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he was “willing to do everything to defend the country”, reports CNN.

He also promised to maintain “a simple rule”.

– Those who hurt us, we hurt, he said in a statement.

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati said in a statement that measures will be taken to “stop the escalation,” according to Al-Jazeera. He also called an emergency cabinet meeting at his residence to discuss the attacks.

– What is required is to first stop the Israeli aggression.
