Hamas announced its condition to release the hostages

While the Israeli-Palestinian conflict continues, Hamas official Abu Hamid visited Russia’s capital, Moscow. While the evacuation of hostage Russian and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) citizens was discussed at the meeting, Hamas representative Abu Hamid made a statement to the Russian Kommersant newspaper.

HOSTAGES HELD BY HAMAS

Stating that it will take time to release the hostages, Abu Hamid said, “Time is needed to identify the hostages taken from Israel to Gaza on October 7.”

“WE WILL NOT RELEASE THE HOSTAGES UNTIL THE CEASE COMMITMENT”

Adding that hostages require a calm environment to be found, Abu Hamid said, “Approximately 50 hostages died in Israeli attacks. “We will not release the hostages until the ceasefire,” he said.

“RUSSIA IS A FRIENDLY COUNTRY FOR THE PALESTINE PEOPLE”

Abu Hamid also stated that during the contacts in Moscow, they explained to the Russian side the reasons for the attacks on Israel from Palestine on October 7, and said: “Russia is a friendly country for the Palestinian people and maintains its relations with all representatives of the Palestinian people. “We are always ready to consult with them on various issues,” he said.
The number of people killed in Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7 increased by 481 in the last 24 hours, reaching 7,028.
