Halton Regional Police arrested four people and laid almost 80 charges after executing a search warrant in the area, seizing handguns, shotguns, ammunition, drugs and a large amount of fentanyl.

“The trafficking of illicit substances, particularly fentanyl into our community is related to the rise in drug poisonings, which we know can lead to tragic outcomes,” said Det. Sgt. Ron Wright of the 2nd District Criminal Investigations Bureau.

“Everyone involved (in Project Breakdown) should be commended for their diligent work that led to these impressive results.”

Halton police worked with the OPP, Brantford Police and Hamilton Police to execute nine search warrants in Brant, Haldimand and Oxford Counties and the City of Hamilton on June 25.
