Halsingehambon warns of a shortage of dancers

Hälsingehambon is looking for more dancers when the competition after the pandemic break starts again on 9 July. There are only half as many registered in June than there usually are, reports P4 Gävleborg.

– If you do not come and dance this year, we may not be able to drive for several years, says Anna Valsberg, press contact for Hälsingehambon, to the radio.

Hälsingehambon started in 1965 and had its heyday in the 1980s, when as many as 1,500 couples swirled around along the roads in Hälsingland.

However, the competition took a longer break during the 2000s.
