Halo around the moon – see the cool viewing images

During Wednesday evening, a halo phenomenon was visible over Stockholm. Halo, which comes from the Greek word for circle, is a relatively common phenomenon and occurs when moonlight or sunlight is refracted in the air’s ice crystals.

– All the parameters were in place for it to be seen as clearly as possible, says TV4 Nyheternas meteorologist, Madeleine Westin.
