Previously, the national sports high school for table tennis was located in Köping. The decision from the Swedish Sports Confederation’s board means that it will be replaced by operations in Halmstad and Söderhamn. There will be eight training places per place.
Previously had a nationally approved education
Halmstad has previously had a nationally approved sports education for table tennis. When the municipality now gets a national sports high school, they need to take greater responsibility for the activities, which require a budget of SEK 1.2 million.
Admission to the education is national and higher demands are placed on social care and that the students receive accommodation support.
