Three bears entered a factory in northern Japan and refused to leave, even fireworks did not help. They were discovered when they entered the tatami mat factory in Misato, Akita Prefecture.
This year alone, 30 bear attacks have been recorded in Akita. Several have occurred in residential areas. Experts believe that a lack of the staple food, acorns, has driven the bears from the forest to the settlement.
Finally, they were caught in cages at the factory entrance and euthanized.
