In the district court, a man in Umeå was sentenced to eight years in prison for, among other things, three cases of rape against children. Now the Court of Appeal has almost halved his sentence, reports Folkbladet and Västerbottens-Kuriren.
He is instead sentenced to prison for four years and six months. The compensation he must pay to the vulnerable child is also halved.
The man is acquitted in the Court of Appeal for a case of rape against a child, gross sexual molestation of a child and sexual molestation.
