Roger Rönnberg was expelled from the booth this week and was furious.
Now Håkan Loob is launching a theory about Förlundtränaren.
– I think he intends to “focus on me”, says the SVT expert in the program “Hockey Night”.
It was Frölunda’s away match against Linköping that Roger Rönnberg just over seven minutes into the second period was sent off. The Frölunda coach was forced to leave the booth, but the away team was still able to win the match 2–0.
Rönnberg’s anger
After the match, the head referee explained Andreas Harnebring for Expressen that Rönnberg had made a gesture to insinuate that the referee was blind, and for that received a two-minute expulsion. After the decision, Harnebring explains that the coach continued arguing with the other head referee, and then goes to a match penalty.

Rönnberg was very angry about the decision after the match and directed harsh criticism at the referees.
– I can’t hear what the referee is saying. I have been upset many times but this time I am as calm as can be. Getting a match penalty and being mocked in front of their entire hall. Imagine if we had lost the match on that decision, then I would have had to carry this with me for the rest of my life.
– I feel offended on a personal level, he told SVT.
Loob’s theory
The SVT expert Håkan Loob sees no strangeness with Rönnberg’s expulsion.
– He probably deserves a bit of this. Then it’s like that, it must have happened. Now he gets kicked out, take it for what it is. This is part of the game, too. I think that he has accumulated over time, says Loob in SVT’s “Hockey evening”.

The former hockey player also launches a theory about Rönnberg’s play.
– I think he takes it in there. I don’t know if it’s just in the moment, that he feels he doesn’t mean anything and then gets kicked out. Then I have another thesis as well. I think a little bit that he thinks “focus on me, let the team play behind me a little bit, be alone”. So it doesn’t start to be questioned whether you have the right team, the right tip and so on. So a lot of focus is drawn towards Roger, says Loob in the program.
