Saudi Arabia took a new decision on Hajj in 2023. Saudi Arabian Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Abdulfettah Maşat said in a statement to Al-İhbariye television that the requirement for women to have a mahram with them during the pilgrimage was lifted this year, but that they should be in a caravan of women.
Saudi Arabia previously did not allow women to perform Hajj or Umrah without a mahram with them. (AA)
