Is your hair tired, no longer growing or has lost all its shine? Adopt this little-known ingredient without delay, yet renowned for its sublimating action.
Olive oil, white vinegar, yogurt, honey… Many natural ingredients can enhance your hair. But one in particular can boost the shine and growth of your hair. Drum roll… It’s batana oil, which is all the rage on social media.
What is batana oil?
Batana oil is an oil extracted from the nuts of the batana palm, a tree native to Central and South America.
Rich in essential fatty acids (oleic acid, palmitic acid, linoleic acid, stearic acid, etc.), vitamins and antioxidants, it is particularly appreciated for its nourishing and restorative properties.
It is also often used to revitalize dry or damaged hair, improving its shine and resistance to external aggressions. It also helps repair split ends, maintain hair hydration and stimulate regrowth.
It is also an oil appreciated for its moisturizing effects on the epidermis, since it improves the suppleness and elasticity of the skin.
Batana oil is used in different ways, depending on the desired effect:
- In the form of an oil bath, to stimulate hair regrowth: Here, all you have to do is apply a thick layer of batana oil to the scalp, wrap it in a towel for about twenty minutes, massage the scalp and then rinse everything off.
- In the form of a conditioner, to nourish the lengths: After shampooing, the oil should be applied to the hair to deeply moisturize it. Our advice: use a small amount to avoid making the hair greasy.
- In the form of treatment, to treat split ends: On dry hair, a small amount of oil should be applied to the ends.
The right frequency to adopt? Once every two weeks or once a month, depending on the nature of your hair (thick, dry, curly, frizzy, oily, etc.).
To be on the safe side, also be sure to always test the oil on a small area of your skin to anticipate possible allergic reactions.
