Hackers hacked into Russian space research organizations

“Leave Ukraine alone where we will fuck you even more :))” This delicate message was left on the pages of a website of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences by hackers from a group called “v0gels3c”. A screenshot of the message was shared on Twitter by a nebula account Anonymous.

But that’s not all. The v0gels3c group also managed to get their hands on documents from Roscosmos, the Russian space agency. These files, which were also released by Anonymous, apparently came from shared storage.
Asked by Vicehackers claim they were able to gain access by brute-force breaking a low-quality password.

What is in this set of documents? According to Vicewho looked at them, it contains handwritten notes, PDFs and spreadsheets relating to lunar missions.
One of the documents, in particular, deals with possible landing sites. But this is not a scoop, because the Russian authorities had already published this information.
Last week, hackers from Anonymous also released 200 GB of emails from Belarusian arms company Tetraedr.
