The channel of the German YouTuber HandOfBlood was hacked and showed news about Elon Musk, Twitter and Bitcoin instead of gaming content.
Who is the person you are talking about?
In the video we explain Eintracht Spandau to you in 4 minutes:
Hack takes control of HandOfBlood
What was that hack? As numerous users report on Twitter, Hänno’s main channel on YouTube is said to have been hacked. Also, some warned against clicking on links related to the hack (via Twitter).
In general, numerous screenshots and clips of the channel appeared on January 7th, which now showed news about Elon Musk, Twitter, Tesla and Bitcoin instead of the usual Hänno videos. In addition, the channel was renamed by the culprits and was therefore called “Tesla Twitter”.
In addition, as a result of the hack, HandOfBlood’s videos were listed as “unlisted” on YouTube. In the meantime, they did not appear in the channel’s video list, but could still be found and viewed via playlists and links.
What’s the status now? HandOfBlood’s channel has been restored to normal and is no longer called “Tesla Twitter”. The videos can now also be viewed as usual.
Hackers recently struck several times
Who else got it? HandOfBlood’s hack isn’t the first in recent weeks. Almost a month ago, the YouTube channel “BullshitTV” was hit. This was renamed to “Tesla” at the time (via reddit).
In addition, a few days ago, Dortmund’s Jean Pierre Kraemer / JP Perfromace was hit (via ruhrnachrichten.de). Jean Pierre Kraemer is known as a tuner and former member of the TV series “The PS Profis”. His YouTube channel has 2.28 million subscribers.
Overall, the start of 2023 seems rather difficult for many YouTubers. While HandOfBlood and JP fight for their channel, others have struggled with the platform’s new monetization policies and have feared for their earnings ever since.
One wrong word is costing people their entire earnings on YouTube right now: “I’m devastated”
