Manchester City’s Norwegian top scorer, Erling Haaland, who leads the Premier League goal exchange with ten goals, was not punished for his action on Sunday.
Sunday’s top game of the English Premier League between Arsenal and Manchester City ended after dramatic stages in a 2-2 draw when John Stones scored an equalizer for City in the very last moments.
After the goal, City’s Norwegian striker Erling Haaland the ball was thrown by an Arsenal defender Gabriel’s head, and after the final whistle, Haaland still had a heated exchange of words Gabriel Jesus with.
Haaland will not receive a disciplinary punishment for his efforts, the English Football Association says on Monday, according to the BBC, among others.
However, punishment came in the form of criticism when Arsenal’s former player greatness Ian Wright vented his disappointment in his social media post.
– I saw it properly this (Monday) morning. Throws the ball at Gabi’s head when he can’t see. A real act of cowardice, Wright stated on his Instagram account, according to the BBC.
– That bothered me the most (in the match). I thought you were bigger, Wright mused in Haaland’s direction.
