On Tuesday, the district court proceedings began against Theodor Engström, who is charged with the terrorist act during the almedal week in Visby this summer. Leif GW Persson explains the background to the crime.
– This is a very grateful case, says Leif GW Persson in Nyhetsmorgon.
He is charged with terrorist crimes by murder and with preparation for terrorist crimes against the center party’s Annie Lööf, whom he also planned to murder. During the investigation, Theodor underwent a forensic psychiatric examination which showed that, according to GW, he “was crazy” and now the criminologist is speculating about the penalty.
– If he hadn’t been crazy, he would have been given a life sentence, says Leif GW Persson.
