GW on Foxtrot’s alleged collaboration with the Chinese mafia

After the autumn’s many acts of violence in Foxtrot’s gang war, the situation is now somewhat calmer. At the same time, the police believe that the network, which is led by Rawa Majid, has begun to cooperate with the Chinese mafia.
– There is information that Foxtrot wants to cooperate with them, but it is thin information, says Leif GW Persson.

It is The evening paperwho earlier this week reported that the Foxtrot network is now also active internationally and is said to have started cooperation with the Chinese mafia.

– It is claimed, but it is very thin information. The Chinese mafia is based outside of China, in Laos and Thailand where it is easier to bribe its way. They do a lot of tele-scams, calling people up and scamming them. There is information that Foxtrot has either tried to buy in there, or that they want to cooperate with them, says Leif GW Persson.

Forced to lie low

According to Aftonbladet, the police have mapped how key people in the network have started making more and more trips internationally, especially to the east. However, Leif GW Persson does not think that part is particularly profitable.
At the same time, the gang war has calmed down somewhat at home.

– The major source of income is still narcotics, but that industry is strained and they argue with each other. They are war-weary, and the police have hijacked some of them. So it’s tricky. They are low in Sweden because they have to, says Leif GW Persson.

The criminal network is constantly looking for new sources of income.

– They are no strangers to any type of crime, such as fraud, extortion, robbery and drug dealing. But the big thing is still the drugs.

That the Foxtrot network is active in other countries is connected to several things.

– It is connected with the distribution chain. Spain has always been central as a transit country. Then there are consumer groups all over the world, including within the immediate European area. North Africa is one area, the Balkans another, Spain a third, plus the rest of the EU, says GW Persson.

Natural contacts

The background of members also means that they can easily do business in different parts of the world.

– They do business where it can be done. They often originate from other parts of Europe and the Middle East, so they have natural contacts there, says GW Persson.

Earlier this fall, information came that Foxtrot leader Rawa Majid had been arrested in Iran. But that has yet to be determined.

– Swedish authorities have tried in vain to get confirmation from Iran, but our relationship with Iran is less good, so Iran has not even responded to the requests, says GW Persson.
