Guy Pearce reveals Warner forced Christopher Nolan to stop working

Warner Bros. executive has blocked further Guy Pearce-Christopher Nolan collaborations

In the recent Vanity Fair interview about his upcoming 3.5-hour epic The Brutalist, Pearce was also asked about his relationship with Christopher Nolan. This is not supposed to have been the reason why their employment relationship came to a premature end:

He’s talked to me about roles a few times over the years. The first Batman and prestige. But there was an executive at Warner Bros. who said quite frankly to my agent, ‘I don’t understand Guy Pearce. I’ll never understand Guy Pearce. I will never give Guy Pearce a job.‘ So in a way that’s good to know. I mean, fair enough; There are some actors I don’t understand. But it meant I could never work with Chris.
