Eight-year-old Gustav accidentally walked through the ice when he was out sledding with a friend this weekend.
The life-threatening incident at the boat harbor in Nacka in Stockholm thankfully ended well.
– I was out shopping for Christmas presents when they rang my phone. I didn’t recognize the number and thought should I take it. I answered anyway, and a woman says, “hey, your son has gone through the ice, he’s alive, but everything has gone well,” says Jakob Öqvist, comedian and presenter, and father of Gustav.
Frozen and ice cold
– I threw myself in the car and was there quickly. Gustav was completely frozen and ice cold, says Jakob Öqvist in Efter fem.
Gustav was saved by some strangers who passed by and happened to see when the accident happened.
– Thank God he saw some grown people when he walked through the ice. A total nightmare, it could have been much worse, says father Jakob.
