The person inside the Tesla Cybertruck that exploded in Las Vegas shot himself in the head before the car exploded.
A gunshot wound was previously reported to have been found on the head of the man who died in the explosion. Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill says that the coroner has confirmed that it was a suicide.
According to McMahill, a handgun was found at the victim’s feet.
Loaded with gasoline canisters and fireworks, the Tesla Cybertruck blew up the future president of the United States Donald Trump’s outside a partially owned hotel in Las Vegas on New Year’s Day. Seven people were slightly injured in the explosion.
The federal police FBI said on Thursday that the motive for the act is not yet clear. The police are investigating the incident as a possible terrorist attack.
FBI special investigator Spencer Evans says that it has not “missed out” by the criminal investigators that the explosion happened when he became president Donald Trump’s in front of the owned hotel in Tesla. The car brand in question is owned by a Trump supporter Elon Musk.
– At this point, we don’t have the kind of information that would definitely tell us that there was a certain ideology behind the act, says Evans.
According to US media, the man who died in the car was a special forces soldier on vacation. Authorities have confirmed that the car that exploded was rented by a special forces soldier, but have not said if it was the same person who was in the car when it exploded.
