Former US President and Republican Party presidential candidate Donald Trump was assassinated during his campaign rally on July 13. Trump was shot while addressing his supporters from the podium at the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The person killed at the scene was reported to be 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks.

While this incident has had wide repercussions in the world and the US, gunshots were heard in the area where Donald Trump was located today. Donald Trump’s election campaign spokesman announced that shots were fired around Trump and that the presidential candidates were safe.

The New York Post reported that two men shot at each other outside Trump’s golf club and that Trump was in no danger whatsoever.
