Man arrested at the Capitol
At 1:50 p.m., reports came that a man “smelling gasoline,” carrying a torch and a flare gun, had been arrested at the Capitol in Washington DC. This is stated by the congress’ own police on X.

The man is said to have been arrested at the congressional visitor center, which was closed for the day.
