Gunilla Persson65, has taken Sweden by storm after her years in the TV program “Svenska Hollywoodfruar” and her participation in Melodifestivalen 2024.
Despite her popularity in Sweden, however, she spends the majority of her time in her hometown of Los Angeles, USA.
There, the American presidential election is around the corner, but Gunilla is not one of those who will go to the polling station to choose the country’s new leader.
In an interview with The evening paper she reveals that she does not intend to vote at all.

Gunilla Persson did not win Melodifestivalen
News24 has previously written about Gunilla and the daughter Erika Persson21, more frequent visits to Sweden during spring 2024.
The main reason for the visits was that Gunilla competed in the Melodifestivalen, where she went to the quarter-finals together with Miss Snusk.
Even after the end of the competition, Gunilla has made sure to spend time in her home country. In the meantime, she has taken the opportunity to perform on larger stages such as Gröna Lund, but also nightclubs such as Golden Hits in Stockholm.

Gunilla Persson: “I don’t vote”
With one foot in Sweden and one in the USA, you might think that Gunilla would be happy to make her voice heard when it’s time for elections in her favorite countries, but that’s not actually the case.
For The evening paper she announces that she has never voted, neither in Sweden nor the USA. The reason for Gunilla’s modest presence in politics, however, is not a lack of opinions, but rather that no candidate impresses her.
– I don’t vote. I think that the candidates that you can vote for in the USA are pure jokes. You can’t bring out Biden and Trump, can you? It’s so sick. You can’t bear it, she tells the newspaper and continues:
– I think that these leaders who emerge through elections are very corrupt. They are corrupt. That’s why I don’t vote for them. If I were prime minister, society would look different.
