The fires in California have destroyed thousands of homes • Can’t get to the house
The massive fires in Los Angeles have claimed several lives and destroyed thousands of homes.
Now tell Hollywood wife Gunilla Persson about the devastation and that her house burned down.
“I hope to be able to find something in the ashes. There may be some small memory there,” she writes on social media.
At least 24 people have died after the fires that hit the Los Angeles area. Thousands of people have been evacuated, one of them is Gunilla Persson. For a long time she did not know if her house was still standing, but today she tells about the situation on social media.
“The truth is that we have nothing left, no resources and no insurance as it was terminated, now we are homeless,” writes Gunilla.
Can’t get to the house
She describes how the fires are unprecedented in the history of Los Angeles and that every day she has tried to get into her house, but that everything nearby is cordoned off.
“I am not athletic enough so that I, like my neighbors, can climb mountains and that is also very dangerous,” writes Gunilla.
The hope is that she will be able to make her way to see if anything remains where her house once stood.
“I hope to be able to find something in the ashes. Maybe there is some small memory there”.
Can’t take it anymore – start fundraising
In a post on Instagram, she describes how the fires led to a difficult financial situation for her and her daughter now that they are without a home. They have been allowed to live with a friend but are now reaching out in the hope of getting help from other people with financial support.
“I extend a hand to you because I can’t take it anymore. I can’t bear to keep up the pretense of who I am,” writes Gunilla, whose friend and daughter have now set up a fundraiser to help the family.
