None of them have skied before but will now get expert help from Gunde.
– I want to learn it as part of Swedish culture. It wasn’t my thing, but I want to learn. It is very fun and exciting to learn something new, but it was not so easy for me who is used to walking without snow on my feet. It was very exciting! says Manoel Marques Lerinbetter known as “Junior”, to the local newspaper NWT.
– We trained a few days a week ago at Idre fjäll. Now I come forward and I dare to learn. I fell a lot and it is still very difficult, but I will try to make my way to the Vasaloppet. I fight very hard!

The participants have so far only met for one camp in Idre Fjäll. Then the television viewers will be able to follow their journey to the final goal, which is a relay race at the Vasaloppet. The TV program premieres February 2 on SVT and will be shown in five episodes.
– It will be a bit like a reality show. We live in the same house, we talk to each other and a lot of things happen. They haven’t skied before either, says Junior Lerin in the interview.
– We divide it up, like a relay. My part I think is almost two miles. When they first told me about the Vasaloppet, I knew nothing about it. It was completely new to me, it wasn’t something I had thought about before.
