Gunde Svan blames TV4 – after the unexpected that happened at the daughter’s wedding: “Man was in the depravity”

Gunde Svan is the great pride of Swedish skiing.
And recently he officially became a father-in-law – but now the icon is accusing TV4 after what happened at his daughter’s wedding.
– I had a bet with them, Gunde tells Sportbibeln.

Gunde Swan ended his incredible skiing career in 1991. After some time off the skis, he spent a few years involved in the national team and the International Ski Federation. But today, Gunde’s focus is more on spending time with his family, helping his son Ferry Swan in his investment in timber sports, and fixing in and around the house at home in Dalarna.

Recently the daughter got married Julia Swan, who was forced to end his skiing career in 2017 after recurring injuries and illnesses. How is it then for her new husband, the journalist Ludvig Holmbergto have Gunde Svan as father-in-law?
– I described it in my speech at the dinner there, that I feel like Baloo in the movie The Jungle Book and Ludde, who is her new husband now, is Mowgli. So then you understand the relationship a little.
– He’s from Stockholm, and we try to make as much love of him as we can all the time. So we’re in the woods chopping wood and doing a lot of different things than what he’s used to, so it’s kind of fun. But he is very willing to learn as well, and it is even more fun then, Gunde tells Sportbibeln.

When Gunde was a guest on the talk show Hellenius Hörna in 2016, the former cross-country skier said that he had never drunk alcohol, and loves to dance.

At Julia’s wedding there was a lot of Gunde’s beloved dance.
– It really was, so it’s true, he says.
