A sharp gun was found in a student locker at a municipal high school in Gothenburg in October. The locker’s owner, a 15-year-old boy, is now being charged with serious weapons offences, reports Göteborgs-Posten.
The principal made the decision to cut open the locker after receiving an anonymous tip about a weapons cache.
The weapon was a converted tear gas pistol that was stored along with a magazine and ammunition. The boy denies that he is the one who put the gun in the cupboard, but DNA links him to it, GP writes.
According to the newspaper, a similar firearm was used in a murder in Lillhagsparken in Hisingen in May last year.
The boy, who has previously been convicted of robbery, has, according to the police, certain connections to a larger criminal network in Gothenburg.
