Gunmen who came to the stadium attacked with long-barreled guns during a football match in Tecpan city in Guerrero state of Mexico. As a result of the fire opened by the attackers, 4 people lost their lives and many people were injured. The players on the field were not harmed by the attack.

Tecpan city local government said in a statement about the attack that they regretted the incident, and stated that federal and state teams started to work together to investigate the attack and ensure the safety of the citizens.
When it was determined that one of the people killed in the attack was the leader of the cartel in the region and another person was his closest friend, allegations were made that the incident might be a showdown between criminal gangs. (UAV)
