In Call of Duty: Warzone 2, the Gulag is a dark place where players have a chance to get back into the game after their first death. However, winning the battle isn’t easy, so we’ll show you 3 tips on how to increase your chances of survival.
What is the gulag? Every player who played Warzone 1 knows the Gulag. This place is located away from the warzone. If you get killed in your match, you get one more chance to fight your way back into the game. In the gulag, the decisive battle of life and death is then fought.
However, you do not face this death throes alone. Together with another player you are sent in a fight against an enemy duo team.
If your squad wins the shootout, you’ll both be sent back into the match. If you lose the battle, you’re eliminated entirely or can be resurrected by teammates for $4,000.
However, the fight in the Gulag is harder than it looks, so we will show you our tips to get out of the fight safer.
1. Stay together
This is the best way to survive: Probably the best tactic to get out of the Gulag alive is to stick together. Together as a duo, you comb through the individual covers and ensure that your opponents bite the dust with alternating fire – or you attack together for more damage.
If you play without a headset and don’t use the proximity chat, then keep your eyes open and check on your teammate. They often run aimlessly into the enemy and without warning. If this happens to you, follow your colleague and give him your back.
2. Use your tools
Which tools do you mean? You will not be sent to the Gulag battle empty-handed. A hand weapon as well as a grenade and a tactical grenade should support you in your fight. However, it is often forgotten that these tools are available.
If you run out of these, keep an eye out on the ground for new tools. Semtex and Flashbang grenades can sometimes be found that you can pick up and use.

3. Play the waiting game
Why can patience help you? In the Gulag there is a boss who runs the shop and delights in watching you fight. However, this boss is not known for his patience, as if you persist too long in a gulag fight, a juggernaut will step in.
This Juggernaut is not only heavily armored, but also has a large rifle that will take you underground in no time at all. So if you’re quick, you can unleash this monster on your opponents while trying to use cover to keep yourself safe.
By the way, if you kill the Juggernaut, all 4 players come back into the match. But if the time runs out before then, all players lose.
What do I do if I survived the Gulag? First, pat yourself on the back because you’re back in the running. After your victory, you will be taken back into the air. Now you can decide where you land.
It’s best to choose a more remote location with a few houses or structures where Loot could hide. Don’t hope for strong weapons, though, because you might just get what’s left of the bone now.
Now that you are equipped, you should proceed more cautiously through the terrain. Enemies may have seen you from afar and are probably just around the corner waiting for an ambush. If you survived that and are not dead yet, the next victory could not be far away.
