The appeal trial of the Guinean opponent Aliou Bah opened on Wednesday March 26 in Conakry on Wednesday, almost three months after his conviction at first instance for offense to the head of the junta in power. Aliou Bah, president of the Liberal Democratic Movement (Model), was sentenced last January to two years in prison for “offense and defamation” against General Mamadi Doumbouya who took power in September 2021 after having overthrew Civil President Alpha Condé.
