Guinea: Minister of Justice prosecuted for “slanderous denunciations” by FNDC activists

Trial of FNDC leaders in Guinea verdict on June 13

Civil society actors are filing a complaint against the Guinean Minister of Justice and Human Rights after they were acquitted on Tuesday June 12 by the court of first instance. Following the release of the ex-militants of the officially dissolved FNDC, the head of the Department of Justice is now accused of having denigrated the image of the three opposition figures. The ten plaintiffs summoned the Minister of Justice to appear next Thursday, June 22, before the criminal court of Dixinn in the inner suburbs of Conakry.
