A new film with Guillaume Canet is released on Netflix this week. Given the plot and the casting, it has every chance of arousing the curiosity of subscribers.

This week, the streaming platform Netflix is releasing a new feature film of the genre online which features the French actor in the role of a former GIGN agent. And, according to the first images published before it goes online, it promises to take your breath away.
Ad Vitam is the latest film from director Rodolphe Lauga. The filmmaker has already worked as a screenwriter alongside Guillaume Canet on Rock ‘n’ Roll before making the comedy The source. In Ad Vitamthe protagonist is a former member of GIGN, caught up in his past after escaping a murder attempt. He must now find his wife, kidnapped by a group of armed men, which will plunge him into the heart of a state affair that is beyond his control.
In the casting, Guillaume Canet plays opposite well-known faces of the French seventh art, such as the César-winning actors Zita Hanrot (Heart plan, School life) and Alexis Manenti (Les Miserables), but also Stéphane Caillard (Flo, Fury), Nassim Lyes (Under the Seine, New Rich) and Johan Heldenbergh (Alabama Monroe, The Worse).
Ad Vitam thus joins the list of French action films which are enjoying some success on the Netflix streaming platform. In the past, Netflix subscribers have massively watched Under the Seine (second most viewed non-English film on the site) which has 102.3 million views, Aka (seventh in the same ranking, established by Netflix) and its 60.9 million views. The wages of fear, Thieves Or Lost ball are other French-speaking feature films appreciated by fans of the genre and which have enjoyed a certain popularity.
With this history, it is therefore a safe bet thatAd Vitam will, at a minimum, arouse the curiosity of subscribers to the streaming platform and rise for at least a few days in the ranking of the most viewed films of the moment on the site. The action film can be watched on Netflix from January 10.
