Guild Wars 2’s housing is much more powerful than expected – player builds sci-fi rocket station

When Guild Wars 2’s new housing feature, Janthir Wilds, was introduced, the perfect building block for creatives landed in Tyria. Whether it’s the Eye of Sauron, a giant chessboard or a sci-fi rocket station – the editor’s possibilities seem endless.

What is the community building in Guild Wars 2? In our “MMORPG News in Two Minutes” from September 15, 2024, MeinMMO had already celebrated some works from the Guild Wars 2 community. For example, Tyrian heroes built the Eye of Sauron, a hobbit manor or a Greek temple using the homestead kit introduced with Janthir Wilds.

Since then, players have always found new ways to exploit the editor’s tools and place buildings in the fantasy world of Tyria that don’t actually belong there or – on the contrary – fit in wonderfully.

Dry_Picture_9836 posted a nice example of how powerful the tool is on Reddit a few hours ago. You can see five screenshots showing a self-built rocket station. There is also a character whose equipment would fit more into a sci-fi setting.
