What kind of event is this? In addition to the regular Community Days, Pokémon GO also regularly organizes the “Community Day Classic”. These are new editions of past Community Days with popular monsters. This means that even trainers who missed Community Day can grab these monsters.

The Community Day Classic in April 2024 is all about Kindwurm, the dragon Pokémon from the third generation. This monster:

    Who is childworm worthwhile for?

    Clear thing: basically for everyone. Because Childwurm is one of the best attackers in Pokémon GO if you evolve it into Brutalanda. The dragon is one of the most powerful monsters you can raise in raids.

    You should also note:

  • Brutalanda also has a mega evolution that is worth it.
  • Crypto-Brutalanda is even stronger than the normal variant.

    • So, even if you already have a Brutalanda: At Community Day you have the opportunity to collect lots of candies for the ones you already have to level up, or to catch child worms with better stats.

    • Which items should you use? That depends on what you have in your bag. The following items may be worthwhile:

  • Balls: You always need a lot of these at the Community Day Classic. If you live in an area without many PokéStops, plan ahead to save a few. Tips on how to get balls can be found here.
  • Smoke and lure module: Both last for three hours at the C-Day Classic. Smoke is worth it if you’re on the go a lot, lure modules are especially helpful if you stay longer at a single PokéStop.
  • Sanana berries: Always good to double the candies when you catch them and have to catch less overall if you’re only after candies.
  • Lucky egg: With the lucky egg you can double your XP in the event. This will give you six times the catch XP, which can help you level up.
