In Destiny 2, a legendary hand cannon has made it back into the game. Sleek design and powerful perks make “Luna’s Howl” one of the best shooting irons in the loot shooter, but what are the God Rolls for PvE and PvP? We’ll show them to you.
What makes Luna’s howl special? The hand cannon “Luna’s Howl” was considered, along with the “Not Forgotten,” one of the best hand cannons in PvP when Forsaken was still the new DLC. The reasons were the stats and the “Magnificent Howl” perk.
Once Magnificent Howl was active, the handguns became deadly lasers, destroying anything in just 2 to 3 shots at most. Unfortunately, they fell victim to sunsetting and were no longer used by the community until now.
With the free event “Into the Light,” players can once again grab a fresh version of Luna’s Howl and it can even drop with various perks. In our short overview we will show you which perks form a God Roll for PvP and PvE.

Luna’s Howl – God Roll for PvP
God Roll for PvP – You need these perks: In PvP, speed, stability, range and damage are important. For this reason we have decided on the following perks:
With our perk combination you can turn Luna into a real monster in the Crucible. You benefit from a high range and stability. In addition, “Sliding” supports you when reloading and grants you temporarily increased stability and range. Last but not least, “Magnificent Howl” provides the necessary damage buff with which you can bring your opponents to their knees in just a few shots.
Luna’s Howl – God Roll for PvE
God Roll for PvE – You need these perks: In PvE you need a supporting weapon that can deal with many enemies. Thanks to its variety of perks, Luna’s Howl can also be used as a perfect support weapon. Your roll should look like this:
With our recommendation, you can spread “Scorch” in a solar build and also heal yourself and your teammates. To do this, destroy smaller enemies and then reload. Luna’s Howl has always had its strengths in PvP, but with the right perk selection you can also form a solid weapon for PvE since “Into the Light”.
Where can I find the new Luna’s Howl? In order to get hold of Luna’s Howl, you must first have progressed far enough from Arcite in the Hall of Champions to be able to collect the quest “Howl at the Moon”.
Now you have the choice of either defeating enemies with hand cannons with precision damage in Onslaught mode or killing 50 enemies in PvP with hand cannons.
Depending on what you choose, after completing the quest you will unlock the ability to farm Luna’s Howl in “Onslaught” mode.
These were our recommendations for the best God Rolls from “Luna’s Howling”. Have you already found your favorite or are you still eager to do so? Let’s find out in the comments!
