Community Day with Knofensa is waiting for you in Pokémon GO. We’ll show you what to expect here and how you can make the most of the event.
What kind of event is this? Community Day is a monthly event that focuses on one Pokémon. While the event is running, the Pokémon will appear in the wild in a huge mass. In addition to a greatly increased chance of shiny, there are other bonuses that are active in the event.
At the Community Day in April 2024, Knofensa will be the focus. The Pokémon from the 1st generation has the types Grass and Poison. It can evolve into Ultrigaria and then Sarzenia.

Community Day in April 2024 with Knofensa – start & bonuses of the event
When? Saturday, April 20, 2024 – From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m
Exclusive attack: Instant attack spell sheet for Sarzenia if you evolve Ultrigaria into Sarzenia by 10:00 p.m. at the latest
Bonuses:
– Increased shiny chance for Knofensa
– Triple the amount of stardust when catching Pokémon
– Double Catch Candies
– Double the chance of getting XL Candies when catching Pokémon level 31 or higher
– Lure modules and smoke last 3 hours (not the daily adventure smoke)
– Snapshot surprises with Knofensa
– Field research with Knofensa
– PokéStop Showcases with Knofensa and Sarzenia
Bonuses until 10:00 p.m. local time:
– An additional special exchange
– 50% less Stardust cost when trading
Further content during Community Day: After 5:00 p.m. you will find 4* raids that you can participate in to challenge Ultrigaria. If a raid is successfully completed, additional Knofensa will appear within 300 meters of the arena for 30 minutes. These raids cannot be completed with remote raid passes.
This Community Day will again feature special research that you can buy for $1 (roughly €1). We will add the exact content as soon as it is known.

Who is the Community Day with Knofensa worthwhile for?
For collectors: If you haven’t had much luck with Knofensa and the developments so far, you can use the event to fill these entries in your Pokédex. Due to the frequent appearance of Knofensa, it will be easy to collect the appropriate candies for evolving.
If you are a shiny hunter, then you shouldn’t miss Community Day. There probably won’t be a better chance of a shiny Knofensa and the developments any time soon.
For fighters: Knofensa and its developments are only partially suitable for fighting. At least when it comes to poison, you’ll find Sarzenia in the list of the best attackers in Pokémon GO, even if you’re better off using the Crypto variant for this.
In the fighting leagues you should avoid using Sarzenia. There are many Pokémon here that do better in the respective leagues.
The perfect preparation for Community Day in April 2024
Make space: As always with Community Days, you should have enough space in your Pokémon box to be able to catch the countless Knofensa.
If you still need to make room during the event, you can quickly sort out Pokémon with a simple trick.
Prepare your items: You should also take precautions when it comes to your items in order to make the most of Community Day.
Which Mega Pokémon are worth the event? If you have a Plant or Poison-type Mega Pokémon active during the event, you can look forward to an additional candy and experience points when you catch it. These mega developments have at least one of the two types and are therefore worth it if you want to use the bonus during Community Day.
