Community Day with Bauz will take place in Pokémon GO on Saturday, January 6th, 2024. We’ll show you what content and bonuses await you and how you can use the event.
What kind of event is this? The monthly Community Day always focuses on one Pokémon. This appears in very high numbers, so you have the opportunity to get a lot of copies and candies.
This Community Day is about Bauz. This is a Pokémon from the 7th generation that has the Grass and Flying types. It can evolve into Arboretoss, which in turn can evolve into Silvarro.
Can Bauz appear as Shiny? Yes, on Community Day you can also meet Bauz as Shiny. At this event, the chance of getting a Shiny copy is also greatly increased.

Community Day in January with Bauz – start & bonuses of the event
When? Saturday, January 6th, 2024 – From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m
Exclusive attack: Flora Statue for Silvarro if you develop it by 10:00 p.m. at the latest
Bonuses:

Further content during Community Day: As usual on Community Days, after the Community Day from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. you can take part in 4* raids where Bauz is waiting for you. If you defeat such a raid, additional Bauz will appear around the arena for 30 minutes, which also have an increased chance of being shiny.
In addition, there will again be special research for around €1, with Bauz being the focus. As soon as the contents of this special research are announced, we will inform you about it.
Who is Bauz worthwhile for?
For collectors: If Bauz and his developments haven’t found their way into your Pokédex yet, the event is the perfect chance to do so. If you’re a shiny collector, you should also pay attention to Community Day, as you won’t have a better chance of getting Bauz and his development stages in their shiny form.
For fighters: Silvarro, the last development from Bauz, unfortunately doesn’t play a particularly important role as an attacker for raids. It is not one of the best attackers of its type in Pokémon GO.
Silvarro doesn’t play a big role in the fighting leagues either. It’s a decent Pokémon for the Super and Hyper Leagues, but it’s overtaken by many other Pokémon that you’re better off betting on.
How you should prepare for Community Day in January 2024
Make space: Make sure you have enough space in your Pokémon storage for the event. This means you don’t have to constantly send Pokémon during Community Day in order to catch more specimens.

Which Mega Pokémon should I activate? If you have activated a Mega Pokémon, you will receive an additional Candy bonus when catching Pokémon that match the Mega Pokémon’s type.
Since Bauz has the Plant and Flying types, you should have one of the following Mega Evolutions active during Community Day if you have the opportunity:
