Guide: Everything before the women’s football drama

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

Women’s League

+ The top battle

Rosengård are three games away from becoming Swedish champions again. Linköping, Häcken and Kristianstad shadow behind, but it is Rosengård that has connected the golden grip.

However, it is not an easy match to be played on Sunday. Losing against Kristianstad away at the same time as Häcken and Linköping get three points will mean that the battle for gold is wide open.

But should that be the case, Rosengård is still in the driver’s seat. Partly in the form of continued league leaders, but also thanks to an advantageous schedule in the form of Djurgården at home and BP away in the final round.

1) Rosengård, 57 points, +42 in goal difference, three games left to play.

2) Linköping, 52 points, +32, three games left to play.

3) The hurdles, 50 points, +33, three games left to play.

4) Kristianstad, 49 points, +31, three games left to play.

Rosengård’s remaining matches: October 23: Kristianstad (away), October 31: Djurgården (home), November 5: BP (b).

Linköping’s remaining matches: 24 Oct: Kalmar (h), 28 Oct: Kristianstad (h), 5 Nov: Örebro (b).

Häcken’s remaining matches: 23 Oct: Piteå (h), 31 Oct: AIK (h), 5 Nov: Djurgården (b).

Kristianstad’s remaining matches: Oct. 23: Rosengård (h), Oct. 28: Linköping (b), Nov. 5: Umeå (h).

+ The bottom battle

Neither AIK nor BP took the chance to get closer to Umeå in the qualification place after each losing at the weekend. It therefore looks bleak for the Stockholm teams as both Umeå and Kalmar have played one fewer match. However, BP will face Umeå and AIK will face Kalmar before the series is finished.

11) Kalmar, 14 points, -40, three games left to play.

12) Umeå, 12 points, -41, three games left to play.

13) BP, 9 points, -38, two games left to play.

14) AIK, 8 points, -44, two games left to play.

Kalmar’s remaining matches: 24 Oct: Linköping (b), 30 Oct: Eskilstuna (h), 5 Nov: AIK (b).

Umeå’s remaining matches: 23 Oct: Eskilstuna (b), 29 Oct: BP (h), 5 Nov: Kristianstad (b).

BP’s remaining matches: 29 Oct: Umeå (b), 5 Nov: Rosengård (h).

AIK’s remaining matches: 31 Oct: Häcken (b), 5 Nov: Kalmar (h).

The elite

Congratulations, Växjö. Bergdalen was defeated on Saturday and thereby secured the league victory and a place in the women’s league next season. But there is still a direct spot and a qualifying spot to play for.

That’s where Norrköping is best suited after getting past IK Uppsala this weekend. But there are still a lot of points to play for and don’t think that Alingsås or Lidköping have given up.

The table position in the promotion battle

2) Norrköping, 54 points, +44, two games left to play.

3) IK Uppsala, 52 points, +44, two games left to play.

4) Alingsås, 49 points, +34, three games left to play.

5) Lidköping, 45 points, +20, three games left to play.

IK Uppsala’s remaining matches: 29 Oct: Mallbacken (h), 5 Nov: Bergdalen (b).

Norrköping’s remaining matches: 29 Oct: Bergdalen (h), 5 Nov: Lidköping (b).

Alingsås’ remaining matches: 23 Oct: Karlskoga (b), 29 Oct: Växjö (b), 5 Nov: Alingsås (h).
