“GTA” veteran starts fresh
Dan Houser, one of the founders of the world-famous game company Rockstar, and chief script officer for games such as “GTA V” and “Red dead redemption 2”, has presented his new studio, Absurd Ventures, several media reports.
Houser was deputy creative director at Rockstar, which he left in 2020. Absurd Ventures will deal with “new brands” regardless of media, and build story-driven worlds and characters intended for games, movies and books, among other things.
Houser gained some attention for an interview ahead of the release of the western game “Red dead redemption 2”, in which he talked about many people working hundred-hour weeks at Rockstar, something he later said was about himself and a few others.
