On Netflix on December 14: GTA Trilogy Discover remastered versions of GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas. Exclusively on Netflix for mobile.
The idea of Netflix adding the GTA game to the platform, which we previously announced, has become a reality. Netflix is offering the perfect gift for the holiday season: Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition! This trilogy includes remastered versions of GTA III, GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas. Starting today, players can pre-register for games on iOS and Google Play. GTA Trilogy will be available both on the Netflix mobile app and separately for Netflix subscribers on the App Store and Google Play.
Netflix Takes a Giant Step in the Gaming World with GTA Trilogy in December
Netflix’s game portfolio is gradually expanding and increasing its impressiveness. Titles such as Kentucky Route Zero, Before Your Eyes, Oxenfree series, Immortality, Spiritfarer and Dead Cells are already available. Next year, Katana Zero, Death’s Door and Hades will also be added to this library. Netflix’s collection of games may not be the largest, but it’s certainly a carefully curated collection, and many games are available on mobile devices exclusively with a Netflix subscription.
Although recent reports suggest that a significant portion of Netflix games are not being played by users, Netflix has yet to share information on which games are the most popular or by whom. But Netflix appears to be aiming for success by offering games that are commercially successful, have big name recognition, and offer a variety of experiences. GTA Trilogy, one of the most popular series in video game history, looks like another of the many successful moves in the service’s two-year history. (I’ve always wanted to play on mobile, it’s a great opportunity!)
Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will be available for Netflix subscribers on iOS and Android and on the Netflix mobile app on December 14.
