In GTA Online, a player tried to make quick money in the form of cargo delivery. As luck would have it, he made the acquaintance of a griefer and he destroyed everything. How it came to a happy ending, you can find out here.
A disastrous delivery: A normal day in GTA Online. Reddit user __Username_Not_Found was on his way to deliver his cargo delivery and bag his hard-earned GTA$ when a grief suddenly ruined his tour. His entire charge went up in an explosion.
The culprit was a team member who fled the lobby when his plan worked. Angry at this act of trolling, the GTA player contacted Rockstar’s customer support and they were willing to help him.
Rockstar doesn’t leave its most loyal gangsters out in the cold
What has Rockstar done? The reddit user __Username_Not_Found didn’t hesitate and contacted Rockstar support immediately. Support looked at the situation and reacted accordingly to the predicament that the player got stuck with the following reaction:
Support says, “We understand your concern about the destroyed crates. We would like to inform you that according to the game design, other players can destroy the crates. Unfortunately, we do not provide any compensation in such cases. However, since you are a valuable player to us, we have credited your account with GTA$1,000,000 as a one-time compensation. […]”
The player in this case received an exception and was given a large amount of GTA Dollars for free as compensation. A generous donation from Rockstar Support, which the player uses right away to smack the troll.
He therefore posts the support’s answer on reddit with the note that this thread goes to the troll player. Despite his losses, he has not lost everything.
Rockstar likes to help its fans: It’s not the first time Rockstar has helped its fans. In the comments under the thread, many gangsters write their experiences with the support.
Including users who have even received money as a gift several times. Reddit user spokes2k7 says, “Yes, they do it more than once! My last cargo drop went undelivered twice. Both times I was told there was nothing they could do about it but because I was such a valuable player they would give me the money. […]”
