GTA Online has revamped Franklin’s phone booth missions. Now you can earn more money in an hour with them despite the nerf.
What mission is it? GTA Online introduced the agency and Franklin Clinton as your new business partner in December 2021 with the “The Contract” update. After you have completed a few security jobs for the agency, you will be given the opportunity to carry out telephone booth attacks.
When it comes to the telephone booth attacks, you request a mission from Franklin. He will then contact you on a nearby telephone booth and give you an assassination order.
Completing a phone booth assassination will award you some 15,000 GTA dollars, although you can receive an additional bonus if you meet certain requirements. One requirement, for example, is to drive over the target on the golf course with a golf caddy.
The bonus is significantly higher than the actual earnings from the mission and is usually very easy to get. For players who regularly bag the bonus, phone booth attacks were a popular way to get money quickly and easily.

Change allows missions in the same time
What has changed now? Rockstar Games has drastically reduced the bonus you get for a phone booth assassination. Previously, you received a bonus of 70,000 GTA dollars if you eliminated a target according to the requirements. Now the bonus is only 30,000 GTA dollars.
To compensate for this major nerf, Rockstar Games has reduced the cooldown for the phone booth assassinations. This one is now only 10 minutes long. Previously the cooldown lasted 48 minutes.
Why can you make more money now? By reducing the cooldown, you can now complete a total of 4 phone booth assassinations within an hour.
This means you will receive four times 15,000 GTA dollars and four times 30,000 GTA dollars for the bonus. That’s a total of 180,000 GTA dollars per 60 minutes, as each assassination attack only takes a few minutes to complete.
Previously, you could only perform two phone booth assassinations in 60 minutes, each earning you 15,000 GTA Dollars plus the 70,000 GTA Dollar bonus. So you came up with “only” 170,000 GTA dollars in the same time. So you can now earn almost 10,000 GTA dollars more within an hour.
More money, but still less worthwhile
Are the missions more worth it now? No. Although you can now earn more money from phone booth assassinations within an hour, you will then only be busy with assassinations within that hour.
Previously, you could use the cooldown to earn money in other ways, such as selling cars from the vehicle warehouse or goods made in the bunker. So you made money in several ways within this hour.
After the nerf, you would have to carry out assassinations for the entire hour and the 10-minute cooldown offers significantly fewer options for making money on the side than the previous 45 minutes.
