The 2023 FIFA World Cup will be played in New Zealand and Australia from July 20 to July 20. August. The initial groups of the games were drawn on October 22, and in the draw, in addition to the opponents coming to the countries, it was determined in which country the matches of the initial group will be played.
32 countries were divided into eight blocks in the draw. 29 countries are already known, but three more participating countries will be decided on the basis of the WC further qualifiers.

The countries were drawn in such a way that teams from the same continental confederation cannot be in the same group. There will be at least 11 teams from Europe, so there can be no more than two European countries in one group.
