Liseberg’s brazen PR coup against Gröna Lund has provoked reactions – and now revenge is promised from the amusement park in the capital.

Anyone who takes the shuttle boat out to Gröna Lund on Djurgården has hardly missed the advertising message that adorns the entire boat:
“Today’s best ride. With a little flow, it goes to Gothenburg and the largest amusement park in the Nordics.”
On the other side it says: “Liseberg 100 years. Celebrate a real party summer in the stomach-churning capital.”
– We are turning 100 years old this year and we want to draw attention to this in the very best way we can. In Western Sweden, you know what Liseberg is, but we felt that we need to be seen more in Stockholm, says Mårten Westlund, press spokesperson at Liseberg.
Looking forward to the ear file
According to Annika Troselius at Gröna lund, the “bust” between the amusement parks has been going on for a long time. Liseberg once flew a hot air balloon in the shape of the Liseberg rabbit at Gröna Lund’s premiere – and Gröna Lund responded by having 100 people in Gröna Lund shirts queue at Liseberg for a whole day.
It remains to be seen if Gröna Lund can counter with something better. Liseberg is waiting.
