Vinkeveen – Cyclist Dylan Groenewegen was unable to conclude the Tour of Saudi Arabia with a stage victory. The fifth stage ended in a bunch sprint and the resident of Vinkeveen took it from far. However, Groenewegen did not make it and was passed before the line by three riders, with the Italian Simone Consonni (Cofidis) as the winner.
