Greta Thunberg released in London after climate demonstration

Climate activist Greta Thunberg was put on trial in London for disturbing the order during a protest outside an oil conference last year. Together with 25 activists, they blocked the entrance to the hotel where the conference was held and had to be taken away by the police.

Now she and four other people are freed, reports Reuters.

Convicted previously

The defendants risked a fine of SEK 34,500 if convicted. Thunberg has previously been put on trial after demonstrations. She has also been sentenced to daily fines twice.

However, this was the first time she faced the court abroad.
