Greta Thunberg has decided to block several entrances to the Riksdag.
She does this together with around 50 other climate activists.
– We are sitting here to protest against the ongoing system that leads to people dying as a consequence of the climate crisis already today, she tells TT.
Greta Thunberg together with around 50 other climate activists are blocking the main entrances to the Riksdag, TT writes.
– This action is a resistance to the continuation of this deadly, unjust system. The richest consume enormous amounts of resources, at the expense of large parts of the world’s population not even having their needs met, she says in a press release.
The 21-year-old urges everyone who can to join the campaign, which is not licensed.

Can still get in
A group of researchers from several different universities will also be on site outside the Riksdag.
– That the young people even feel compelled to fight for a tolerable future is really a real understatement for all of us and especially our politicians. Their message is in line with what the research says. The future prospects with the current policy are very scary, why aren’t more people on the barricades? says Jeannette Eggers, researcher in forest planning with a focus on sustainability at the Swedish University of Agriculture, in the press release.
Since the activists are only blocking the main entrances, the members of parliament can enter via other entrances.
