Many opposition parties accuse the council of spending almost 5 million euros to make an area that is already green. The alternative plans also develop the area, but are a lot cheaper. Yet those alternatives did not obtain a majority, and this also applies to most of the amendments to the alderman’s plan. These were submitted by the opposition. For example, the CDA wanted to strengthen the position of the farmer with an amendment. The CDA considers the councilor’s plan to be a dying construction for the farming business that is now located in the area.
