Green light from Hungary to Finland’s accession to NATO

The Hungarian National Assembly gave the green light to Finland’s membership in NATO. Finland’s accession to NATO was officially approved in a parliamentary vote.

Finland, which has been approved by the parliaments of 29 NATO member countries, has received the necessary support from the Hungarian parliament today. In the Hungarian National Assembly, Finland’s membership in NATO was approved by the parliament by 182 votes to 6.

In order for Finland to become a member of NATO, it must finally be approved by the Turkish Grand National Assembly. (AA)
